About The Team

The K'Nex team is building a new critical service that will enable "Zillow 2.0". As Zillow's customer experiences become more deeply integrated into the moving process, Zillow's dev teams and systems need to be able to see the full picture of our customer. Our team organizes our customer's interactions with Zillow into a "move", similar to how hotel, flight, and rental car bookings would be grouped into a "trip" in a travel website.

About The Role

Join our team if you're looking to build a highly available, high scale core service that will serve millions of customers! You will get to work with teams across Zillow Group, including Zillow Home Loans, Premier Agent, Zillow Closing Services and more to integrate their systems into our services. Your work will also enable new initiatives like Customer Hub and Power Buying! This is a high profile project with lots of growth potential. We are listed as a "Foundational Enabler" in Zillow's strategy stack. Also, we are a new team with no legacy systems to support!

You Will Get To:

· Design and build event driven services written in Golang that will be used by teams across the company
· Use modern technologies like Protobuf, DynamoDB, kubernetes and more
· Observe and monitor our services with tooling like Datadog (metrics and APM) and Splunk

Qualifications

· BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or have applicable experience
· 5+ years of experience in designing, coding, and debugging web applications and backend services
· Proficient in backend development using Golang or an object oriented language like Java or C#
· Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCE, or Azure
· Experience in addressing complex system architectures concerns such as performance, reliability, scalability, availability and security

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Go language: 4 years (Required)
• AWS, GCE, or Azure: 3 years (Required)
• Protobuf, DynamoDB, kubernetes and more: 3 years (Preferred)
• Splunk: 3 years (Preferred)
